Restricted Pets: These pets will never be avaliable on the Create a Pet page. You have to use other methods.
Limited Edition Pets: These pets are not normally avaliable in the Create a Pet page. But, if there is a special day or a special event, you can then visit the Create a Pet page and create the limited edition pet.
Resitricted/Limited Edition pets that can be transformed using a 'PetNameHere' Transmogrification Potion: Krawk, Draik, Cybunny, Jetsam, and Kiko.
Resitricted/Limited Edition pets that can be transformed using a 'PetNameHere' Morphing Potion: Krawk, Draik, Cybunny, Poogle, Jetsam, Chomby, Koi, and Kiko.
IMPORTANT: There is also the option of using the Lab Ray, which works for any and all Neopet species.
Species: Draik
Status: Restricted
How to get it: First off, you need to get a Draik Negg. One way to get it is to buy it from the Meridell Food Shop. Take it to the
Draik's Nest and it will hatch into a Draik.
Species: Kwawk
Status: Restricted
How to get it: The main way to get a Krawk is to buy a Krawk petpet and attatch it to one of your pets. (Make sure you only have 3 pets) Give your petpet an original name, and try searching for it in the searh bar to be sure it's not taken. Then visit
Fungus Cave and feed your Krawk petpet some of the fungus. It will transform into a Krawk pet.
Species: Cybunny
Status: Limited Edition
How to get it: You can wait until Easter when Neopets will release more through the Create a Pet section. If you're not one for patience, you can buy a magical cybunny plushie and if you pet plays with it it will turn into a Cybunny.
Species: Tonu
Status: Limited Edition
How to get it: On Tony Day, you can create a Tonu via the Create a Pet page. There is also a speculation going around that you can create a Tonu when the Giant Omelette is gone, but it doesn't always work.
Species: Poogle
Status: Limited Edition
How to get it: On Poogle Day, Neopets will release some through the Create a Pet page.
Species: Grundo
Status: Limited Edition
How to get it: You can adopt one from the Virtupets Space Station.
Species: Jetsam
Status: Restricted
How to get it: Use a special potion (listed at the top), or wait for the lab ray to zap your pet into a Jetsam.
Species: Kiko
Status: Restricted
How to get it: Use a special potion (listed at the top), or wait for the lab ray to zap your pet into a Kiko.
Species: Chomby
Status: Restricted
How to get it: Use a special potion (listed at the top), or wait for the lab ray to zap your pet into a Chomby.
Species: Koi
Status: Restricted
